Heard of Cow Catchers on Trains, Now Bird Catchers on Planes


US Airways flight 1549 involved in an accident en route to Charlotte, NC from LaGuardia, NY. Airline releases crew information the pilot Captain Chesley B. Sullenberger, III, reportedly said he lost both engines after hitting a flock of birds. He and his crew were able to safely land the large powerless airplane on the river. Saving the lives of all aboard. Hats off to the pilot and his crew.


Heard of Cow Catchers on Trains, Now see Bird Catchers on Planes!

This would save a lot of lives in future flights, these Bird Catchers could be designed to be placed on the exterior of the engines and would be streamlined and be controlled by the pilot with a flip of a switch. See photo below:
